Hi,



The doors (especially the sliders) on my Honda Odessey van are starting to stick. Can anybody suggest something to put on the gaskets to make the doors open easier?

Apply a silicone spray to a rag and wipe down the door seals.

No. WD40 is a Water Displacer and makes for a lousy lubricant. You want to use a silicone spray.

Hi,

Thanks for the heads up. After using WD-40 for over 40 years I finally looked close at the can (after your comment), and it does call itself a “water displacer”. I did use it once or twice on my '66 Chevy C-10 for that reason, come to think of it. I have also been spraying it on squeaky hinges forever, and I always figured it was a also lubricant. Thanks again.

Myself I like a silicone paste rather than a spray. Apply the same way,with a rag.
