Sticking Accelerator - Saturn SL1

I have a 2001 Saturn SL1. Recently the accelerator has started sticking when I go from not having it pressed in at all, to pressing it in. It will stick and I have to exert extra pressure to make it move from an all-the-way out 0 point. Once it is past that point, it moves freely. Any thoughts on how I can resolve this?

Dirt buildup in the throttle plate inside the housing could cause this. Cleaning the throttle plate with air intake cleaner should fix it.

I figured it was something along those lines. Any idea of the best way to get to that on a 2000 Saturn SL1? (Sorry I mis-typed in the OP… it’s a 2000, not a 2001)
