Hey,
I own a '98 Toyota Avalon that has recently been having trouble starting up. When I turn the ignition there is no noise coming from the engine, as if it were about to start, but the engine check, battery check, and oil check lights all come on. I just added water and replaced the oil about 100 miles ago. Does anyone know what the problem could be? Thank you for your help.
There are lots of possibilities, but the first thing that I would suspect is a battery that has just enough power to illuminate a few light bulbs, but does not have enough power to turn the engine over. Just out of curiosity–Is this the original battery?
If thier is just a click noise and the battery is OK,It could be the selinoid, that relays power from the battery to the starter motor.
