I have a 1991 Honda Civic Wagon that has starting problem which is puzzling me. When I turn the ignition key I get nothing. It will start after turning the key off and then on about 15-20 times. I changed the starter, but the problem still persists. Please help
Cross the starter solenoid contacts with a screwdriver. If the starter cranks you’ll know it’s ok, plus the battery has lots of juice and the battery cables are routing the voltage.
Then concentrate on the ignition system, perhaps the key cylinder is damaged or the ignition itself.
Aside from being expensive, it isn’t logical to throw parts at a fault in hopes of getting lucky.
Narrow the field by process of elimination.
