Starting problem

I have a 1997 Infiniti I 30- lately I am having an intermittent problem where I try to start the car and it is just dead -then I turn the key 3 or 4 times and all of a sudden, it starts right up. I think the battery is fine. What is it?

1st choice: Connection (between battery and starter.) 2nd choice: Starter selenoid going out. 3rd Choice: Ignition switch. Others might disagree with my choice of order, but those are about the only three likely to be your problem.

Thanks so much!

Oh, I forgot one. #4 is the neutral safety switch or clutch safety switch. This will take some looking around for obvious loose wires, starting at the battery wiggle everything from the battery to the starter. Good luck.
