Hi everyone, my 95escort has developed a
loud squealing noise coming from the front disc brakes. I’ve pulled the wheels and
noted that the rotors are unscorred and there is plenty of brake pad left. The squealing noise dose not begin immediately after applying the brakes but increases in noise vollume just before the stop. I would appreciate anyones help, as I beleive my mechanic is charging me too much for repairs! Thank YOu.
Remove the brake pads, clean the pads, shims, calipers, etc, and reinstall with ANTI-SQUEAL compound, which you can get from your local auto parts store.
