I think I know what the problem is, but I want to hear it from someone else before I make any decisions about whether or not to get it repaired.
Get a can or Raid, and spray it under the dash. That should kill the pesky little gremlins 
Or, you could get a can of electronics cleaner, and start cleaning electrical connectors. You have some bad connections happening, and they are bound to get worse.
