I have very mixed feelings on Obamacare.

Theoretically, it’s better to have coverage versus no coverage

However, I’m concerned that some of these cheap plans that meet the ACA standards will turn out to be crap when someone becomes gravely ill or seriously injured

I suppose we will hear the success stories or horror stories soon enough

As a public service worker, I have a very good plan, but when I was very young, I didn’t really think about healthcare. I certainly didn’t have much money to spend on such things when I was in my 20s.

I do believe Obamacare is not socialized medicine

Look to Europe if you want an example of socialized medicine. I grew up and lived there, so I do know one or two things.

If memory serves me correctly, I believe the 'proposed" Hillarycare was more radical, and might have more closely fit the definition of socialized medicine

And that may be why it was dead in the water.

Not to mention the fact that it was brought up by the first lady at the time. First ladies certainly should be involved, and should do good things. But I’m not sure if radically changing the healthcare system is one of the things they should be doing. I believe that might be better left to the elected politicians.

We shop at our local Walmart from time to time, always for price and nearby convenience. However, for a more impartial opinion, see the latest (May) edition of Consumer Reports. In it, Walmart Supercenter rates dead last of 55 supermarkets.

By comparison, Costco rates 4th, Target 26th, Safeway 46th, while Wegman rated tops. It is interesting that Costco which professes to have no service (wholeale club), rated higher in that score than Walmart.
