99 Kia Sephia 4 cyl. In attempting to change the spark plugs & wires, I need to remove a cover that has six phillips head screws. Three of them come out easily, two have the head stripped, and one is not coming loose, but is not stripped. Any suggeestions on the best way to remove the two that have stripped heads.
You will need to find a way to pry the stripped screws up as you unscrew them. A flat head screwdriver might work.
valve lapping coumpound ,a good impact screwdriver,and real bit,gentle though as the cam cover is weak. that or just break the cover off so you can access the screw heads,and poss get a mini needle nose vise grips on the heads ,then remove and replace the cover from a bone yard.
