Don’t even get me started! I swear there is a sucker born every second. I get folks who get taken every two weeks as customers. No amount of education, printing out articles for them to read about the scams, etc. will stop them from doing the same thing again. Often their “friends” are sharing crap on social media that is just clickbait set by scammers.
The original scam being discussed here can apply to cars or anything else for that matter. This started with the PS5 giveaway scam. They needed money for shipping. What they really want is to get your information and credit card to rip off.
I am on outdoor forums and some scammer is constantly posting that Dicks Sporting Goods is giving away kayaks or a Yeti cooler if you pay them $10. This is the same deal.
I am getting several scam calls a day as well and like to mess with them. I tell them my name is some high profile athlete or actor. I even tell them my name is Donald Trump and sometimes they don’t even know who that is…..
