Sour Milk Smell Revisited

I inadvertently left a 1/2 gal of milk in the van after a recent shopping trip. I discovered it after the first hot day. Part of the milk had leaked out. I used our Bissell ‘Little Green Machine’ (carpet cleaner) deep clean and remove as much of the spilled milk as possible. I’m left with an odor; it’s a little less intense every day. I would like to remove it completely.

I read the article “Sour Milk Smell” (here) but I don’t believe it will work for me. What else might I try?

I’ve seen some articles on the web extolling the efficacy of ozone generators (03). And I ran across an ad for ‘Ozium’ at about $12 for 14oz can.

Thanks,

Ron
