I would like to know what can I do about my car cd player? it playes the radio but not a cd its just dead air while the track is playing. i have a 99 chrysler lhs
Sounds like an aftermarket radio. The best solution is to replace it. These things are not worth trying to repair. Replacing it will be more reliable and cheaper.
If you want a drop-in fit for your LHS, try ebay—you should be able to get a unit for less than the price of a good aftermarket one, and the sound is actually better most of the time with these factory units, which I believe are made by Infinity or Fujitsu.
