Was backing out of the driveway and a loud pop came from the front right of the car and smoke/gas started coming out outside the car and filled the inside of the car. I immediately pulled back in, turned the car off and got out. Any ideas on what it could be??
Probably an exhaust leak Go to an exhaust shop and get it fixed ASAP because carbon monoxide is dangerous.
Does the cabin fan for the heating and A/C still work? I suspect an electrical issue; possibly a cabin fan giving up or something of that nature.
This could possibly be a fire hazard so proceed carefully.

Any odor to the gas? Possibly blew an A/C refrigerant hose.

I recently repaired a car with rodent damage, they chewed through the air conditioning hoses.
