I recently bought a 1997 Honda Accord sedan LX with power windows. As it gets colder, the windows go up and down slower and slower to the point they are stopping mid way. I’ve read on -line to lubricate the channels. Any opion on that or should i be looking for an electrical issue (bad ground, relay, etc.)
Lubricating the channels is certainly a good idea. I would also pull the door panel and clean/lubricate everything inside the door as well - that includes a good dose of electronics cleaner for all of the switch and motor contacts.
Of course there’s a really good chance that the motors are simply on their last legs. Cleaning everything up might help a lot. If not, don’t put the door panels back on yet
