Well since a vast majority actually ignore the real “Check Engine Light” on a widespread and regular basis… Perhaps people may respond better to some sort of Emoji style light… Hey… you could be onto something here.

Like having a really unhappy or “sick” looking sad face with a Hot Water Bottle on its head Emoji would get the attention of the general population a little more effectively ?

That CEL gourd is rather frightening to me, but I’m afraid that to many people it just looks normal. I’d be sure to make it flash on and off, but I’m afraid that would be no more scary to too many folks.
