Thanks for jumping in wardinbb, this is really helpful. As I am not planning to tow anything, but need something built like a tank to take the pounding on this dirt road on a daily basis, I think I’m going to buy another Land Cruiser. I have looked and looked for a V6 with air suspension, no dice, I can buy a V8 with air but I am concerned that the suspension might give me more problems than the Land Cruiser’s (even on the LC I have had to replace control arms which my mechanic tells me he’s never seen needing to be replaced on a Land Cruiser before, so a bit weary of a more sophisticated = prone to failure system). Also the V8 is about same gas consumption as LC, price about the same, and LC is also very comfortable as far as ride and amenities. Thanks for your input!
