Hi, Anyone know if the 2017 Touareg 3.0 Litre V6 TDI is a good purchase?, is there any problems with the engine or transmission etc, looking into buying one but just want to know if they are a good SUV!
Common complaints for the 2017 Touareg in general include engine and steering: 2017 Volkswagen Touareg Problems, Defects & Complaints The 2017 had a 10 year/100k powertrain warranty when new. Presumably that would transfer to a subsequent owner. If there’s a fair amount of warranty left and an inspection by a mechanic of your choosing doesn’t turn up any issues it might be worth a shot.

Depends on your definition of “good used suv”. If it includes frequent, expensive maintenance needed, then it could be good for you, depending if a mechanic of your choice says it’s in good shape.

Where are you located? The 2017 Touareg didn’t have the TDI engine available in the U.S. The last year for it was 2015 IIRC.
