2000 nissian maxima-button on shifter hangs up in park, thus not allowing you to engage transmission, how would i fix this problem - elvis55
Are you sure your pressing on the brake? There should be a shift interlock mechanism to prevent shifting out of park unless the brake pedal is depressed. If so, check to insure all your brake lights are working. The interlock device uses the same circuit the brake lights use.
