Seat track lock

I hope that continues  I’m not as tall as @oldtimer-11, I topped out at 6’0", but much of my height is legs too, and every Neon I’ve driven I’ve had to have the seat back the entire way to be able to safely operate both pedals.

The mounts for the new car will help prevent damage to the seat.
The barrier has wood floor bracing with metal bars up top. I’m
fabricating brackets to stop the seat short of hitting, with
rubber pads.

I understand why mechanics are in a rush. Sometimes it's careless

handling that breaks my car/truck. I’m tired of damaged
headliners, ripped seats and broken panels simply from moving the
vehicle. This won’t cure all, but should help.

Take your car to another shop. You know, one that is attentive to your needs.

Good point, but I’ve seen it at most shops. A mechanic gets in a seat w/ a screwdriver in his back pocket or grease on his pants, etc. Besides, I had a contract for free oil changes… saved me $2K. I have the problem fixed on this car.

I was just looking for an easier way to do so.
