Seat belt stuck

2002 Diamante, Passenger side seatbelt became stuck and started smoking after the door was “slammed” shut. Need to know if this can be fixed or am I going to have to ride in the back seat?

If you slammed the door, causing the seat belt to fire off its emergency pre-tensioner, then yes, you should ride in the back from now on.

Chances are you’re going to need to take apart the B-pillar on the car to find out what’s wrong with it, so you might as well find a replacement, anyway.
