Is there a way to increase tension on the return spring assembly on 2003 GM products? Uncovering the assembly nothing seems obvious. Help!
Sometimes they get gummed up with dirt and this causes them to not spring back like they were when new.
In my experience this was the number one reason to replace seat belt retractors,no adjustment possible,GM was very good at “goodwill” policies in regards to seat belts,you could try,no guarantee.
Every Nissan, Toyota, Lexus and Honda we’ve owned since the mid 80’s all came with a lifetime warranty on seatbelts. For some reason the seatbelt on my Pathfinders would not retract well after a couple of years. Nissan replaced them for free 2-3 times.
