Yes I hope you all had a good holiday. One of my best was a visit to Waffle House. I hadn’t had a good waffle in a year. We don’t have any in Minnesota. Nothing great for you southern folks but for me it was special.
This is the time of year I replace all the batteries in the fobs, detectors, etc. clean the softener and flush the water heater. Also drain the compressor and change the oil. Not a lot else going on around new year
One of my favorite Euro tourist destinations , Brussels, they have waffle street-vendors all over the place. Buy a waffle at most every subway stop.
Even better are the “French” fries, which the Belgians do better than anyone else, it seems.
Yeah I’ve been there. I said don’t you have any real flat ones? Not those puffed up ones with fruit and whipped cream on? They don’t know about real waffles over there.
I prefer the flat version also. But when in Rome …
I had French Fries several times in France, in French restaurants, pretty good. But My favorite Frech Fries are here, at the local McDonalds. .ll …
First time at chic filet. They had good waffle fries. I said what, no roast beef? Just kidding. Did you ask for ketchup in France? Making friends and influencing people as we talked about in dale carnegie class. 
Not to change the subject but it is the season of joy. I decided no tip for the mailman this year. He comes anytime from 2:00 to 9:30 at night. Then mis delivered at least three packages in one week. Then I saw the poor guy get out of his truck and drop a package off, then back again and one across the street. Then he stopped and took one to our door. My heart melted so I met him at the door with a tip.
So he left a thank you signed by your mail man. Not mail person, or mail carrier, but mail man. Hard life I guess. Season of joy and forgiveness. Problem is I usually just deliver the package to the right address thinking it might be time critical.
Yes, and the waiters didn’t particularly take to this idea. But they always brought it. Usually in a small serving bowl rather than a bottle. It tasted more like tomato sauce than ketchup, but still pretty good on fries. Maybe should have asked for mayonaise … lol
