What would you definitely recommend for a Saturn Vue 60k mile service?
Do you have the owners or maintenance manual for your vehicle? If you do just perform what is spelled out exactly in there. Remember dealers and some mechanics will add extra flushes and other items in a likely effort to pad your bill.
Whatever your owner’s manual calls for.
For me, for all my cars, these items are recommended and get done: brake fluid replacement; coolant replacement; change spark plugs if owners manual recommends; ATF fluid filter and fluid replacement (pan drop). You may need a timing belt replacement at this mileage; check owners manual. I also end up getting an evaluation of my brakes all around. I may have missed something, but this covers the things I worry about most. Alignment wouldn’t hurt if one had not been done recently.
I generally do air filter replacement and oil change myself.
