Of course. In fact, a Subaru dealer would have far more expertise on these cars than a SAAB dealer would, in view of the fairly limited number that were sold with the SAAB nameplate on them.

Sure. But then it likely would be cheaper to find a local independent to service it. If fact there is no reason you need to go to the dealer while the warranty is in force.
Dealers are generally no better or worse than independent mechanics. However they are almost always more expensive.
