Roll Starting if Fuel Is the Issue

Newbie here.
Can you roll start a car that seems to have fuel problems. I can’t start my car. The battery is OK, also have an external source. The starter is cranking the engine. It sounds like the fuel pump is getting juice. But the engine won’t turn over. Altho my latest attempt it sounded like it was trying. I’m guessing, though, that roll-starting the engine won’t work.

“Roll starting” will not help your problem. It cranks but won’t start. Roll starting is a way to start a manual transmission car when the starter is broken or the battery is flat.

roll starting is only good if you have a standard transmission, and essentially uses the tires and engaged drivetrain to act like the starter. Auto transmissions will not roll start (none that I know of, anyway.)
If the starter is currently cranking the engine over, then roll starting wouldn’t do any different.
