Our 1988 Honda Accord LXI won’t restart on hot summer days. The temperature gague stays normal, so the engine is not overheating. What could cause this problem?
Do you live in a state that uses a alcohol fuel blend? If so that could be the cause or at least part of it.
In addition I would suggest checking the fuel pressure from the fuel pump. Does it tend to do it more when the tank is low?
I would first check my owners manual for starting procedures and follow them EXACTLY for warm engines. If that fails, I’d check the relay under the dash which was addressed last week in a similar post. Joseph has some great suggestions also. Get back to us with your findings. Rocketman
