2000 Chevy Blazer w/176000 miles. new fuel pump in July, transmission died two weeks later. I can get a $1,700 used transmission with 1 yr warranty. Honda dealer will give me $900 trade-in value for the Blazer without the transmission. Should I go ahead with the repair hoping to get up to one more year out of it? Heater core needs replacing at some point.
Fix it and drive it for 6 months then sell it your self for a lot more that $900 then go to dealer,save $$$
The Honda dealer will sell you a new Honda for the EXACT same price with or without the Blazer…The used tranny is a crap-shoot, but who knows, you might luck out!
