‘Goo-gone’ damages most plastics; I’d be careful about spilling it on surrounding plastic parts. It’s also toxic.
Citrus oil cleaners have worked well for me and are non-toxic. Be sure to get the stuff that’s 100% citrus oil, not the cheap stuff that has just enough to make it smell like oranges. I use ‘De-solv-it’.
