My wife drives a '98 Mercury villager GS, the rear blower won’t work even though the little green power indicator light is on. How do I find out what is wrong?
You can be elegant and trace the schematic looking for possible electrical trouble points or you can be crude and start with a physical examination of the blower,is is siezed up?
The suspect parts are either the blower motor or the switch. Since the “green” light is on that makes the switch less likely and puts the blower motor as the 1st place to check out. It’s 10 years old. If the motor is easy to locate fine. If it means taking half the interior apart it may be something to let go.
If you have a 12V accessory plug in the back perhaps a 12V fan plugged into it would do the job.
