Thanks everyone for helping me out. I’m getting my front breaks and rotors replaced on Friday, the earliest appointment I can get. I’ll ask mechanic about the gas pedal problem too. Thanks.
Did you see Nevada’s comment above that the rotors may still be ok? The shop still should measure the remaining thickness of the rotors though, make sure it is within spec.
The rear rotors that you said were worn, have already been replaced, those are (almost) new rotors.
Yes, I did. I replaced the rear breaks recently and he says those are still good. So I’m going to change front only.
To me, that means the noise has nothing to do with the brakes, though yes, your front brakes need servicing. When the brakes are serviced have them check the wheel bearings.
My thoughts, serpentine belt may be squealing, idler pulley bearings, or if separate, power steering pump belt, I do not know if your vehicle has hydraulic power steer or electric power steering.
When you state “foot on the gas”, is the noise still present if you use cruise control?
