Question re: HVAC 2005 Dodge 3500 Diesel

My HVAC went out a few months in my 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 and I brought it into the dealer where they changed out the motor blower.

The AC was working, but not as it should so I brought it back in and they replaced the “box” that controls air flow or something.

The AC works fine in the morning and at night, but during the heat of the day it is like a sauna so I brought the truck back into the dealer and now they are telling me I need a new compressor. I have already spent just unmder $1,000.00 so far and not they are telling me this component will cost $800.00 to change out.

I told them to put it back together and I will go elsewhere as I do not think these three separate issues should have been addressed on three separate occasions within a 60 day period of time (The repairs have never corrected the issue, but I use the truck for work and taking a few days off is nearly impossible).

The mechanic seems to think I am being unreasonable, but I feel all three issues should have been identified and resolved during the first visit and they are killing me on the labor each time they cross off another component.

I know construction, but am no mechanic so am just looking for a second opinion.

Thanks…
