I was recently in a fender bender in my 96 mitz. ecliptz.at the time of the rearender i was starting out at the light with the cluth fully deployed,but just.the problem is as soon as i started to drive away after the wreak I noticed a clunking noise. this car has two cables that go from the stick to the trans to opperate the trans,gears.since the clunking noise started the bottom gears have quit working the cables are as follows, the one opperates the top gears, the other the bottom gears.however you can manualy put the car into gear by moving the levers the cable is attached to on the trans.
The engine and transmission probably moved in the motor/transmission mounts; or, there was bending, or movement, of the motor/transmission mounts.
