Are there any repair options for a failing Multi-function display unit? Dealer says I need a new unit, and since my 2004 Prius has the navigation system, replacement will be +$2,000. Are there any other mechanics that can help, other than the dealer?
You’ll also want to check out a Prius forum, google it. Others may have had this specific problem.
You might also find a display unit from a wrecked Prius. It will probably still be expensive; maybe half what you were quoted for the new one.
