If I have to have hip replacements, I’m going to insist on old style replacement hips with zirk fittings. I want them to last for life and I don’t want the permanently sealed lubrication type that may hve to be replaced after a few years.
I had a “mechanic” who used sealed dry bearings then used WD to lubricate.- Noisy screaming bearings. Had another “mechanic” who used WD40 on sealed greased bearings. Definitely a way to make something that was quiet into noisy screaming monkeys.
Be sure to have two fittings. One for grease and one for the air shocks.
Check out the Scion FRS. You may have a little more leeway and headroom.
