1993 Previa, all wheel drive makes a howling noise from the front end, all speeds, in or out of gear. Bearings have been checked for looseness and seem OK. Might it be the front trans axle or whatever mechanism they use up there? 220,000 miles. Any thoughts?
I think your front wheel bearings might be bad
Even if they’re not loose, they may be rough enough to cause that noise
I believe your front bearings are pressed in, and any decent shop can handle it.

Secondary Accessory Driveshaft (SAD) might be going as well.
