1990 Ford Crown Victoria, 302 V-8 EFI. I’ve had minor power steering work done in the distant past (leakage)—now I’ve the whining sound, especially at startup. I know I should get this flushed soon to save my pump, but first, where do I add more fluid, if it’s needed? Thanks.
There should be a plastic power steering reservoir bottle under the hood, clearly marked.
I think it’s too late to save the pump. Although, if you’re dry of fluid filling it might help. You might get lucky. But you’ll definitely need to find and fix the leak.
Question: did you have your PS rack replaced with a rebuilt?
