The power locks will not shut off in my 1997 Jimmy and it drains the battery. Before I take it to a mechanic, any suggestions?
A couple of things come to mind: one is an actuator sticking, resulting in not shutting off, OR:
reprogram the remote and/or reprogram the power lock mode for the vehicle. An owners manual should show and tell you how.
If you don’t have an owners manual, check with your local library as they usually have connections to websites for automotive repairs.
