I have a 2008 Porsche C4S Cabriolet. After it is parked in the sun on a warm day it is impossible to fill the gas tank. There appears to be a vapor lock and no gas will flow into the tank. When it cools down several hours later, there is no problem. Is something broken on my car or is this a design flaw? Additionally, is there any way to solve the problem without waiting for it to cool down?
There’s a problem in the evaporative emission system. The car needs to be scanned for codes first. Normally these types of problems are not serious.
Perpaps Porsche knows of this problem and has a fix just waiting for you, have you checked for Technical Service Bulletins?
