Ah, thank you. Too bad Ford did it that way. There were many performance parts for Chevy and Chrysler sixes. Some, I think for the Ford 300 CI six.

Here are the engines that Clifford Performance (they specialize in 6 cylinder engines) has parts for. Note the 200 cid Ford. They have some cams/exhaust headers/2 bbl carbs, but you have to use a carb adapter that necks down the 2 bbl to the 1 bbl intake on the head. Pretty much a waste of money, seems to me.
Yes, Ford’s big six (240 and 300) have (or had) a decent selection of performance parts. The engine is stout but very understressed in normal use. 300 hp and nearly 400 ft-lbs is possible without getting too crazy.
