Pickup fish tails in snow

A tiny bit of weight but the real secret is driving technique.

I agree driving technique is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT…But you need proper equipment too. Unfortunately rwd pickups are among the WORSE vehicles to drive in the snow. All the technique in the world may not get you home. Those vehicles need help.

The 70’s muscle cars were also among the worse vehicles you could drive in the snow…a lot of power and very light rear-ends.

The fishtailaing at a stop can occur because the engine power overcomes light brake pressure on the rear brakes. Try pressing the brakes a little harder to stop the rear wheels from spinning. Otherwise, check the rear brakes as tester suggested.

This is the kind of humorous banter I like and use regularly on my Ford dealer messege board on FMCdealer.com. Tom & Ray do it in absolutely every sentence they utter on the air.

But watch out for the Cartalk czars here, they don’t seem to like banter.
Mine, in the past, have been completely blown off the sceen and a NASTY letter sent to my in-box.

I really do wish they’d allow a little more humorous banter here. let’s see what happens.

A fish, a sandbag, and a truck go into a bar…

Whoops!
I better not finish that joke since the czars allegedly don’t like humor.

Cool setup.
