What doesn’t make since is I just knew a few of mine would get flagged and didn’t, but a reply about an item that I have only bought two of that allows me to be able to use in my vehicles for communication (to keep it car related lol) got flagged and removed, but then it was quoted about the same thing but that one was not removed… not upset, just think it is funny what gets flagged and what doesn’t rather it is car related or not, being a car forum…
I’ve been listening to the podcasts for this, but so far have never heard that “name”. Good for you for coming up w/the answer. I would have name him “Pete Incup”. Or “Pete N. Cup”. Maybe “P. N. Cup”?
I was only responding to the one post where the reason appears clear. I agree that is not always the case. Looking at the community rules, derogatory comments are only one reason, there are several others. It would be nice if the action was followed up by a note to their personal message box. After all, if people don’t know what causes a particular post removal, how can they avoid doing it again in the future?
When a post is flagged by the community, it is sent to a moderator for review. It is only then the moderator gets to see the reported content. And if it violates the community guidelines, then the moderator will remove the post.
So, let’s say a flagger sees two comments that violate the community guidelines and he/she is bias, the flagger will only flag the content of the person he/she likes less and ignores the other comment of a person most likable. This is why you see things that don’t add up.
An unbiased flagger will flag anything that violates the community guidelines depending on his/her mood or awareness.
I’ve had about 4 of my content removed, all of which I agreed with failed to comply with the community guidelines, but there was just one questionable one which was the result of a biased flagger.
Huh!
I never knew about the feature of clicking a user’s name to see their awards. So I tried it on @TwinTurbo which in itself was fun, plus was impressed – though not surprised – by the number awards earned by this long time member.
So I’m grateful to be enlightened on two counts. Thanks @TwinTurbo!

never mind
Fyi, this was in episode #2035 “Everybody Wins”. I heard something like “Pincha Deal” (Pinch Ya Deal) but also can’t come up with something I’m confident in. Would love it if we could get to the bottom of this, lol…
Not sure of the correct spelling but, being Italian I have heard Pishadeel which was used as the male genital organ. It might be an Italian slang.
Years ago I read a short article in the news that mentioned a urologist named Passwater. The only person with that name a search turned up was a Richard Passwater, PhD, science editor at ‘Whole Foods’ magazine, who did write an article about prostate cancer.
Ok, this has to be it… So, the name was likely “Pete Shedille” but meant to sound like “Pishadeel” (see Jersey Italian Vernacular | Modesty Is For Suckers). This makes sense, since the brothers are (I presume by their last name) of Italian heritage. Good work, team!
