Rock Auto has a database that you use to narrow down the parts you want to buy.
Having been involved the mechanic world for far too long I can say that I have never seen or heard of what you are asking for. Nor would I even care.
You do not have enough years left on this Earth to compile something like this and collectively on this forum; none of us do either. Thinkā¦an eon or two.
Hereās the other problem youāre going to run into. Lets say there was someplace to get this info fromā¦theyāre NOT going to just give you the data. And I wouldnāt try just downloading the data on the downlow. Data is EVERYTHING. Companies sell their dataā¦they do NOT give it away.
I think I am starting to smell possible TROLL.
Yeah and I for one am not making any long range plans. Then get it all done and models change and start over.
Thing is parts counter guys at the dealer or NAPA etc. are fairly good at pointing out what else might be needed for a repair. If the objective is to complete a repair.
He is not fixing a Jeep, he wants to creat a database for every car ever made.
I wonder if this person even has a clue how many brands , models and trim packages there are .
I canāt see someone who has trouble buying oil filters would even have chance at this pursuit .
That is one reason I think TROLL.
Actually, I thought there was already pretty much such a ādatabaseā out there, itās call āGoogleā¦ā
But you cannot ask it a stupid question like āMy car is broke, how do I fix it?ā
You have to be a bit more specific like, āHow to replace the starter on a 2017 Jeep Renegade with 2.4L 4-Cyl, MultiAir, with Automaticā¦ā
They say, āThere are no stupid questionsā, well they are wrong. Ask a stupid question, get a stupid answerā¦
Garbage in, garbage out. But at least here it is humans proving the garbage and not a computer. Wait, you are all humans arenāt you? If you are not a robot press here
Sometimes I think Tester is a robot with all his knowledge.
I donāt know about Tester being a robot but he does have the knowledge he has given me good advice in the past and I have learned things from him that I never knew before.
Hey, please understand, I do not hold Google to a higher regard than this Web Site (which incidentally, I found on Googleā¦), nor folks who have the knowledge of Tester. However, even when Tester is giving advice, he has often referenced sites on the Internet that I bet he researched and found on Googleā¦
