I have a 99 Outback. Whenever I make a slow sharp turn (i.e. into a parking space or u-turn) the car shakes and rumbles as if I am driving on a low flat.
I took it to a shop, and they said the stabilizers and barrings looked fine, so I don’t know what else I should do to try and fix the problem. Any ideas?
Maybe a differential or some other part of the AWD system is binding up. Do you have a fuse to pull to disable AWD? (Look in the section of your owner’s manual about putting on the compact spare tire.) If so, pull it and see if it makes a difference.
