I don’t have a question but wanted to reply to you about the above problem. It happened to me on the SF Bay Bridge in an 89 Toyota wagon. The engine started revving real high and I could not control it. I put it in neutral and pulled over just passed the end of the bridge on the Oakland side. I had to get towed back to SF. Turns out it was a frayed throttle cable. The cable runs through a plastic tube and the frayed strands were catching on the end of the tube and getting stuck. Take care. Christopher Raphael Vance
