I’m assuming this is a 4.3 v6? I was thinking the oil pressure switch is generally at the rear of the intake. Maybe not, though. Make sure you’re not looking at an oil level sensor or something.
This an ‘86 S10, 2.8, 4X4: 5 spd. I was told ‘85 and ‘86 had the switch beside the filter. ‘87 and later it was moved behind the distributor.

what year was the new motor?
