1990 Auto with 100k miles
There is a long blink followed by two short blinks -12
12 Exhaust Gas Recirculation System
Is there an urgency to fix this - what is the issue? Any shortcut to fix this?
Can this cause the engine oil light to flicker?

DTC 12 = No Exhaust Gas Recirculation Action.
Vacuum hose disconnected, EGR valve diaphragm has a hole, EGR valve plugged with carbon, EGR valve feed pipe plugged.
The EGR valve recirculates exhaust gasses into cylinders to reduce combustion temperatures. This reduces NOx emissions.
I can’t see how this code would cause the oil light to flicker.
