I recently had A/C repair done in New York State. The mechanic told me that it was NYS law for the 12 month/12K warranty on the repair so he did not need to provide it in writing. Is this true?
PS - I haven’t seen anything on this despite researching the NYS law itself - perhaps I’m not looking in the right place?
According to the link below NY does not have a statute regarding auto repair warranty.
That’s a red flag if I ever heard one…Just like the guy working on your house…“No permits are required for this.”…Yea Right.
Well since the work is already done and paid for…there’s not much you can do…But I sure would never go back.
