Sometimes my truck acts like it is not getting enough gas when the tank has plenty in it. Twice it has died for about two days and when trying to start it, it sounds like it isn’t getting any gas, but there is over 1/4 tank left. Both times it died, it was below freezing outside and didn’t start until outside temp got to around 50. I got a new fuel pump and filter at suggestion of mechanic. Still acts like it doesn’t get enough gas (hasn’t died again though), but if I have full gas tank (or close to full), I don’t get the “not enough gas” problem.
model year? Mileage?
- About 150k miles.
Sea foam treatment for gas would be a good place to start just in case there is residual moisture hanging out in the tank.
