“No more Mazda” which is fine but I recently purchased a new Mazda SUV at below Invoice AND with 0% interests which is pretty hard to beat.
But what actually drove my decision was their normally aspirated legacy 2.5 engine, legacy 6 speed transmission (No CVT) and all the modern safety equipment that comes on all their line.
While I could have bought larger or cheaper, I keep my cars for at least 10 years so reliability, parts availability and repairability are major issues as well as avoiding the additional costs of an accident repair and the associated increased insurance premiums.
In the long run, it’s the cheapest guy who ends up spending the most.

That might have been the Mazda that the OP test drove and decided it wasn’t roomy enough. A friend bought a pre-owned Mazda CX-30 about a year ago and is very happy with it.

Yes, 20 yr old Mazda wagon wore out. Replaced with 2021 GMC Terrain SLT.
Husband is against giving salesperson or neighbor anything. Says they know it’s business. As an owner of a business himself, he doesn’t get anything from anyone when he spends a lot of time on someone and they go somewhere else. The price of dealing with customers.
