No lane change turn signal causes crash

HUD users?? not sure if turn signals show up on a HUD…

My funcars turn indicators are hard to see and I have a much smaller steering wheel then stock, and no the steering wheel is not in the line of sight, my exhaust is way to loud to hear the mechanical turn signal flasher…

When my friend bought his Scion IQ, I pointed-out that feature to him.

His previous car was a '59 Dodge, which he got rid-of circa 1967, and he was amazed at all of the safety and convenience features that had been added in the 40+ years since his Dodge was manufactured.

I have a 1975 Suzuki GT750 (google it) road bike. The turning switch on the left handlebar. One light on the dash for both directions. No self canceling, ya gotta remember to cancel yourself!

Just like on the old VW beetles! And, with my brother’s '64 beetle, the green color of that indicator faded to a pale yellowish green after a couple of years.

Also, the directionals blinked VERY slowly on those old bugs. My first-ever car “repair” involved replacing the OEM flasher unit with one from a '48 Chrysler. My brother was very happy when his newly-improved directional signals blinked at a rate similar to other cars.

Letsuck blue high beam lamp also difficult to see behind the steering wheel.
2300 yesterday transporting blood platelets redightsiren to a mountaihospital.
Several times I discovered that I left the high beam on.

With snow falling I-70 became so slippery that the speedimit would be too fast for conditions.
Turned das blinkin’ lights off and could moreasily discern whehigh beam was on.
Sorry to truckers and drivers I annoyed.

If my daughters 2017 Corolla LE has auto dimming headlamps (not sure if on/off button) and my 2023 truck has an on/off button for auto dimming headlamps, I am sure your LEXUS does as well… I’d almost bet that your Lexus has lane change turn signals as well…

Yep, I had forgotten! My 1st car was a 1969 Beetle!

Did yours also fade to a pale yellowish green?
Were the directionals also ridiculously slow with the '69 model?

So did my Mom’s 1985 VW Quantum.

Apparently, a pair of directional arrows in the inst. cluster was not common outside North America.

Did you switch the auto dim feature off to save energy?

Sounds like something a registered tree-hugger and Greenie would do.

Not On because it is often late in turning high beams Off.
Also may be a problem with the lightbar system’s headlight flasher.
(The system was switched to #2. #3 activates the strobe lights and headlight flasher.)
Then I just flasheadights a few times when approaching traffic in lane 1.

Blood bank personnel said surgeons were complaining where were the additional platelets.
In the slippery conditions there was no way to travel faster. A car was on the right shoulder facing the wrong direction.

Boy VCD, that was a long time ago! Can’t remember. I do remember, because it was weird, that the windshield washer fluid was powered by the pressure in the spare tire! No electric pump! There was a sensor to stop when the tire pressure depleted down to 20 psi (?) so you wouldn’t have a flat spare tire. Yes, weird.

The WW tank in my brother’s '64 Bug burst a seam, and it was replaced under warranty. After the warranty expired, the replacement WW tank burst a seam, and he opted to just go without windshield washers after that.

Hopefully, the design was improved by the time that you bought your '69 Bug.
